How It Began

From Family Home to Boutique Homestay

Krishna Villa started in 1940 as the home of a Mewar family, tucked into a quiet lane of old Udaipur. Generation after generation, its arches echoed with weddings, festivals and the daily rhythm of the courtyard.

In 2018, Krishnaveer — the youngest of the family — opened two of its rooms to travellers. Not as a hotel, but the way a family hosts: a spare room, a home-cooked meal, and a cousin to show you the lake.
